The stay
Utsuvaara Retreat is a 66 m² ski-in/ski-out apartment on Utsuvaara in Levi, completed in 2024, about 8 km from Levi village. It has two bedrooms, two bathrooms, a private sauna and room for up to eight guests.
Slopes and cross-country trails start right at the door, and at 370 metres above sea level the views open wide across the fells. On clear nights the northern lights are visible from your own terrace.
Scandinavian interiors and a fully equipped home make for slow, easy holiday days: a sauna with a window wall, a well-equipped kitchen and an LG Styler wardrobe for outdoor clothing.

The place is just out of this world, it's amazing, perfect location if you're looking up for some Northern Lights and snowboarding, the 7th lift is just steps away from the front door, the northern lights can even be seen from the balcony. I'd highly recommend renting a car just for comfort and so to be able to go to restaurants down at Levi. Matti was just an incredible and outstanding host, I'll be back for summer for sure :)

Die Unterkunft befindet sich nah an der dortigen Skipiste. Weiterhin ist die Lichtverschmutzung dort gering. Der Betreiber stand über Whatsapp in engem Kontakt mit uns.

Is Utsuvaara Retreat ski-in/ski-out?
Yes. The slope starts about 10 metres from the door and you can ski back to the apartment. The nearest lift (lift 7, Utsuvaara) is about a 100 m walk, and the ski trail leaves from the back yard.
How far is Levi village?
Levi village is about 8 km away, roughly 10 minutes by car. The nearest restaurant is about 1 km away and Kittilä Airport 12 km.
Are lift passes included?
In the winter season, two lift passes are included in the booking. They aren't personal, so everyone staying with you can take turns using them.
Can you see the northern lights from the apartment?
On clear nights you can see them right from the terrace. In Levi the aurora season usually runs from early September to early April.
Is there equipment for small children?
Yes. The apartment has safety gates, and a travel cot and high chair can be ordered in advance.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 17:00 and check-out by 11:00. Other times can be arranged in advance, subject to availability.
Are bed linen and final cleaning included?
